Objective:

Provide interns with experience in sales and marketing to assess their interest in a career in the seed industry. Develop sales skills in prospecting, cold calls and one-on-one presentations.

Job Description:

The interns will provide support to and be part of the Fontanelle Sales Team. The intern will report to the Regional Sales Manager and will work daily with District Sales Managers in a defined region. Through interaction with the DSMs, interns will develop an understanding of the activities and expectations associated in territory management. The intern's job tasks will include but will not be limited to:

Assisting DSMs in gathering information for our side by side testing systems
Making sales presentations to prospects and key customers
Evaluating new products in side by side testing locations
Planning and managing a schedule that is set daily
Attending summer sales meeting

Requirements:

Pursuing a degree in Agriculture with a desire to explore the opportunities in the seed business
Candidate must have completed at least two years of college
Willing and able to travel throughout the state
Demonstrate outstanding leadership skills
Must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Possess computer skills in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Works well independently and as a team member
