Thanks to District Sales Manager Tom Brolsma we tried the newer genetics which have made a big difference to our bottom line with better yields and the understanding of how it has helped weed control. He also helped in our understanding of fertilizer and agronomics.

With Roundup Ready® corn, I can go from corn to bean acres with the sprayer and not have to worry about the Roundup® I am spraying on the crop. It has saved me time because I do not have to flush out the tanks anymore and I don’t have to worry about traces of other chemicals being left behind in the tanks.

I feel Fontanelle is going about things the right way. They know the products and the industry. Fontanelle knows what we want and they help us to reach our goals.

I have stayed with Fontanelle over the years because they have good products and great service. District Sales Manager Tom Brolsma is an excellent rep for the company and if I have any questions, he will answer them or find the answer, although he always seems to know the answer!

Tom is very knowledgeable and very well versed. We can sit for two hours and talk and I will ask him questions the entire time. He is always available during planting and harvest and we have a good relationship. Tom helps match hybrids to our soil type to maximize our yield potential. He does this for corn and beans and I really value the service he provides me. I am very glad he is my District Sales Manager.

Two years ago, I did not plant any traited products, except my Roundup Ready® beans. Last year, I decided to plant all Roundup Ready® corn. I am very pleased with the weed control the Roundup Ready® provides. It is the cleanest corn we have ever had. Then this year I planted 80% triple stack. I did this because of the weed control factor.

Triple stack 5K106 was our best corn. I was very impressed with it. It had the best maturity-to-yield factor and was our best number last year. It had good test weight and good grain quality.

Fontanelle also has a good line of beans, which have all been really good on our farm.
