Fontanelle's 2008 Dealer Council

April 7, 2008

Once a year during Fontanelle’s annual Travel and Training Meeting (TNT) a select group of dealers meet with company managers as an important element in company planning. There were 12 Fontanelle dealers who served on this year’s Council held in Lincoln, Nebraska on February 22, 2008

“Getting feedback from this group of dealers is one of the ways we can ensure that our planning is targeting areas that our dealers feel is important to their future success which builds our future success,” Steve Pike, president, Fontanelle Hybrids, Fontanelle, NE said. “For the first time this year we asked the dealers to go through a Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat (SWOT) analysis for us. It was enlightening to hear how many strengths and opportunities the dealers identified and how we can approach many of the weaknesses and threats to make us a stronger brand in the marketplace.”

“We are fortunate that we can kick off our TNT meeting with this group,” Pike said. “It’s always interesting to see the Council members circulating among the larger group of dealers exchanging ideas and filling them in on what topics the Council covered. That idea sharing has become an integral part of the TNT event.”

The Council members included: Ted Lomas, Wright, Kansas; Bob Beary, Lovilia, Iowa; Jerry Coffelt, Ravenwood, Missouri; Michael Dorn, Goodland, Kansas; RJ Hein, David City, Nebraska; Marty McInerney, Elk Point, South Dakota; Chuck Rainforth, Hastings, Nebraska; Brian Shirley, Hamburg, Iowa; Loren TeSlaa, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Mark Thomeczek, Marshall, Missouri; Doug Thompson, Hayward, Minnesota; and David Deden, Venango, Nebraska.

Fontanelle Hybrids markets corn, soybeans, grain sorghum, alfalfa and sunflowers in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Colorado, Missouri and portions of Illinois, Minnesota, South Dakota and Texas as an independent operating company within American Seeds Inc, a holding company of Monsanto.
