Fontanelle
Making the difference for you
Fontanelle Hybrids, Fontanelle, Nebraska and Fontanelle Stalkholder Dealers Mark and Dian Gloe, Wood River, NE named Jared Monson, Wood River, NE as the first recipient of a $500 scholarship. “We recognized the need to encourage young people to continue their agricultural education after high school,” Mark Gloe said. “That’s why we decided to establish this co-sponsored scholarship with Fontanelle.”
The scholarship will be presented annually to a Wood River Rural High School graduate planning to continue their education in the field of agriculture. “We sponsor other scholarships,” Steve Pike, president of Fontanelle said. “But this is the first time we’ve had one of our top dealers approach us with this concept of co-sponsoring the scholarship between the Company and the dealership. It’s a great way to support the local area, continuing education and our future agricultural leaders. Congratulations to Jared.”
Monson is the son of Mike and Deb Monson of Wood River, and Lori and Randy Wallace of Doniphan, NE and plans to pursue a degree in agriculture by attending Southeast Community College then transferring to University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
Fontanelle Hybrids markets corn, soybeans, grain sorghum, alfalfa and sunflowers in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Colorado, Missouri and portions of Illinois, Minnesota, South Dakota and Texas as an independent operating company within American Seeds Inc, a holding company of Monsanto.
